The Legacy of Dr. Glenn Bowen, Jr.
In 1960, our late president, Doctor Glenn Bowen, Jr.“Doc”, (father and grandfather), found his passion for firearms. “Docs” legacy for firearm knowledge and repair skills grew throughout the years, rendering him an icon in the industry where he was often called as an expert witness, expert in insurance values and expert in his historical knowledge of firearms. “Doc” established several successful firearm businesses throughout Eastern NC: B&G Guns (with partner Bruce Jones of the Skylight Inn/Pete Jones BBQ, which went on to become Guns Unlimited of Ayden), Doc’s Guns, and Colt’s Guns, which evolved in to Carolina Caliber Company. “Doc” received many awards for his exceptional contributions to 2nd Amendment Rights and the firearm industry as a whole.

Our family is proud to have inherited the passion and skills it takes to successfully serve the firearm needs of not only our local and surrounding communities, but also around the nation.
